RIM Demos BlackBerry OS 6 at WES

BlackBerry makers Research In Motion released a demo of their new BlackBerry OS v6 last week at WES2010. It has a familiar BlackBerry feel to it, with nothing revolutionary as far as I can see. RIM is clearly embracing the new era of touch, as this video shows lots of touchy-feely interaction. Recent rumors have also surface of a RIM tablet to compete with the iPad and others, possibly out in the fall.

Man – lots of crazy gadgets and launches to look forward to in the 2nd half of the year!

More Microsoft Courier Tablet: Video

[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/rXiYtMnjAmc" width="425" height="344" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

A few weeks back I wrote a couple posts about some spy shots of two different tablet-format PCs that Microsoft was working on. Well I just came across a nice video featuring the Courier “in action”, or at some simulated action that gives us an idea of what to expect.

I’m a big proponent of gadgets being shaped to fit our needs (as opposed to the other way around [read: Apple]), so I’m really excited to see where this type platform may end up… Anyone have some thoughts on this?
