Video: Samsung Mondi – Under powered?

Until now, not much about Samsung’s Mondi WiMAX MID was known – especially regarding the power behind this much anticipated device.

Well, now the mystery is revealed… but be prepared to be disappointed. The Mondi is powered by the 800MHz S3C6410 ARM11 chip.

Will this be enough to meet the performance expectations for a speedy MID? What do you think?

Leaked: Samsung Mondi with 4G WiMAX, 4.3 inch touchscreen

samsung_swd-m100_mondiThe Samsung SWD-M100 WiMAX MID that was paraded around at the Mobile World Conference was accidentally named earlier today in a post via Samsung’s RSS feed.

The now named Samsung Mondi features a 4.3 inch touchscreen, slide out QWERTY, and — brace yourself — 4G WiMAX via the Clear network (US only, booo!).

Though we don’t know of any of the other specs of the Mondi, we do know that it will be running WinMo, has two cameras (front/back 0.3 and 3 MP respectively), bluetooth, WiFi, the Opera browser, and a microSD slot.
