Two new Windows Mobile phones have gotten official Sprint launch dates!
The long-delayed (due to apparent certification issues) Sprint Palm Treo Pro will now be released into the wild on March 15th. Next in line is the mysterious (and oddly named) HTC Cedar, a WinMo Standard (non-touchscreen) device that has a predicted launch date of June 2009. Nothing else is known at this time, but I’m sure we’ll here more about this pretty little blue handset soon enough!

Yes, this is exactly what it looks like – an HTC Touch Pro running a virtual BlackBerry OS. According to RIM, this OS virtualization application is called the BlackBerry Application Suite which boasts BlackBerry OS 4.2 functionality with OS 4.6 style.
Personally, I’d like to try it out — mostly just for the wow factor of being able to load up another OS on my device. But unless you’re new to Windows Mobile, you must already know that loading up new ROMs (cooked or otherwise) or even a new OS (Linux) on your WinMo phone is easy as pie. No offense, BlackBerry enthusiasts (I do love the sex appeal and work functionality of many BlackBerrys) but this is really nothing new for us. I am, however, glad to hear that BlackBerry is finally getting a long-awaited update to BlackBerry Connect.

UK’s O2 has just launched the XDA Flint – an out-of-the-ordinary Windows Mobile device that’s sure to catch your eye. Sure, we’ve seen it before in the HTC Advantage, but it’s worth singling out again.

The XDA Flint has 16GB of flash storage, GGSM/GPRS/EDGE compatibility, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual cameras (3mp and VGA), video output, and an ATI graphics chip. It’s is driven by a 624 mhz processor with 256mb of ROM and 128mb of RAM. The XDA Flint is also GPS-enabled (reportedly through a SiRF StarIII chipset) dual speakers and, yes, a 3.5mm audio jack.
Even though it packs all that, it’s still only 4.5 x 3.9 x .06 inches and weighs only 13.2 ounces but in comparison to the HTC Touch Pro (4.02 x 2.01 x .71, 5.82 ounces), this thing is a beast!

Alltel has jumped on the bandwagon and added the HTC Touch Pro to their smartphone line up. The popular device is going for $279.99 (on contract, of course) with a $100 rebate.
Not many differences with this version but a tweak to the TouchFLO 3D UI from the carrier.

The folks at pocketnow have just posted a video of their unboxing of the new and awesome LG Incite.
The LG Incite, as mentioned before, packs a 3″, wide QVGA resolution screen, an accelerometer for automatic screen rotation, and of course, HSDPA, FM Radio, WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and all that. Strangely enough, like the HTC Touch HD, the Incite has no D-Pad, but a scrolling wheel on the side. I’m not sure how I feel about that, personally, but the folks at pocketnow find it to be a welcome addition.
What do you thinK? Will the LG Incite stand up against some of the other new and fancy devices like the Fuze (HTC Touch Pro) or the Samsung Omnia?

Officially announced today, Indian Windows Mobile users will soon be able to get their hands on the HTC Touch Pro and the HTC Touch Viva.
These two popular Windows Mobile devices will not be sold by any of the three major Indian mobile operators though (Airtel, Reliance, or Vodafone), it seems, as HTC has partnered with Idea Cellular for the release of these devices.
The HTC Touch Pro will be sold for the retail price of Rs. 34,900 ($708) and will be marketed as the HTC Touch Pro T7276 while the HTC Touch Viva will be available for Rs. 16,490 ($335) and will be called the HTC Touch Viva T2223.
No news yet on when they will go on sale but rumours have them available in the next few weeks.

WMExperts have put the Palm Treo Pro up against the AT&T Fuze to see who comes out the champion and it looks like the AT&T Fuze won by the mere skin of its teeth, as the saying goes.

But have you noticed… how blue this handset is? I know, I know – is this really news worthy? Well, no. But I had to draw attention to it again, just in case you had missed this. Now, I’m more of a purist — handsets should come in straight black or hot pink (I’m still a girl, alright?) But I have to say, this looks fairly sweet! This time one that allows you to ‘enable’ (read: re-enable) Internet Sharing on your HTC Touch Diamond, Sprint Touch Pro, AT&T Fuze (Touch Pro) and the Samsung Epix!
Now, this is a registry key edit so use at your own risk as we’re never 100% sure of how these things will turn out sometimes.. but if you’re desperate for Internet Sharing (or brave and up for a challenge) try out this trick…
