Shell Switcher Available For Windows Mobile Devices

ShellSwitcher101beta_screenshot

This nifty little shell switcher has just been released in beta over at XDA forums. According to the developer, the ShellSwitcher utility lets you switch between well known shells like SPB Mobile Shell, Titanium, Touch Flo 3D, HTC Sense and the classic today screen. ShellSwitcher will automatically detect the shell UIs you have installed and allow you to choose between them from a menu.

The app is in beta, so be warned! You can download the free ShellSwitcher for Windows Mobile from the XDA website.

More TouchFlo 3D Coolness: The People Tab

While on the topic of cool TouchFlo 3D 2.5 features, take a look at these icons on the People tab. Whenever you get a new email, missed call, SMS or MMS from a favorite contact a little green notification appears on their icon in the the People tab. Tapping the icon will open up the TouchFlo 3D unified communications tab. Very cool.

Video Walk-Through of New HTC TouchFlo 3D

PocketNow has posted a comprehensive walk-through of the newest build of HTC’s TouchFlo 3D UI replacement for Windows Mobile. The star feature here is the new Twitter tab, which we’ve seen on the HTC Hero, and it supports status updates, short URLs and TwitPic.

This latest build, #1919, also brings a few new enhancements to the robust UI:

  • Animated wallpaper and weather wallpaper option for Home tab
  • Redesigned calendar tab
  • New email tab with longer message previews
  • Large, more colorful icons for the swipe action
  • The addition of Footprints tab
  • Album adds Facebook integration for photos and YouTube integration for videos

I believe there’s a ROM floating around XDA somewhere if you want to check it out.
