Review: GScroll (for Fuze, Diamond, Touch Pro)

April 30, 2009 in Reviews by dave

G-Scroll is a software application that lets you use the capacitive portion of your Fuze (Diamond, Touch Pro) to navigate and launch programs from just the capacitive portion. It adds a level of functionality to the dpad of your Fuze (Diamond, Touch Pro) that’s really worthwhile. Check out the review after the jump for more information!

This isn’t the first time that HTC and One & Co have worked together. In fact, they’ve been working together since 2006 to create the popular handset the HTC Touch Diamond. With the full acquisition of One & Co, HTC hopes to bring new innovative handsets to the market.

I am very excited to see what weird and wonderful devices come out of this team up!

Rogers get the HTC Touch Diamond for $199

December 2, 2008 in News by dave

T-Mobile Touch Diamond

Finally, Rogers has released the HTC Touch Diamond for the sweet, sweet price of $199.99 on a 3 year contract. Of course, that’s with a mandatory ’sign up’ of a min. $45 data/voice plan, but we expected that.

Other pricing options include: 3 year contract (voice only) for $449.99, 3 year contract (data only) $499.99, 2 year contract for $549.99, 1 year contract for $549.99, and month to month for $599.99. The Rogers HTC Touch Diamond is actually cut like a diamond on the back as the original HTC Touch Diamond. Bell and Telus’ versions seem to be lacking the cool, textured back.

Pictures: HTC Touch Diamond in white

December 1, 2008 in News by dave

It’s like spotting a unicorn! You always wanted to believe knew it existed, but you’d just never seen one… but here it is! Taiwanese site ePrice has pictures of the white HTC Touch Diamond up. Now, I normally hate the look of white electronics and gadgets – I’m a black/metal fan (the finish/coat kind not the headbanging air guitarist kind) but I must say – it looks pretty cool in white.

HTC expects to ship 3 million Touch Diamonds

November 24, 2008 in News by Bambi-Blue

Yep – you read that right. HTC is expecting to sell 3 million of their Touch Diamond devices by the end of 2008!

On November 21, HTC CEO Peter Chou said that before the end of the year the company expects to sell up to a million G1 (Android) devices and are expected to hit the 3 million mark with their popular Windows Mobile device, the HTC Touch Diamond.

HTC’s Chou also denied rumours of a pending layoff as well as rumours of decreased orders – proudly proclaiming that HTC was too tough for the global economic recession to weigh down. The company’s condition is so good, in fact, that they’re currently looking at acquiring a handset design company in the US.
