As we all know, the Samsung Saga is soon to hit Verizon Wireless stores. In fact, it’ll be in stores and ready to go home with you on December 1st.
But have you noticed… how blue this handset is? I know, I know – is this really news worthy? Well, no. But I had to draw attention to it again, just in case you had missed this. Now, I’m more of a purist — handsets should come in straight black or hot pink (I’m still a girl, alright?) But I have to say, this looks fairly sweet! Is this why our readers want this phone so badly? Cause I’ll grant you that one. I mean, if the HTC Touch Pro came in hot pink…
Finally! The HTC Touch Pro has made it to Canada! (One step closer to being in my grubby little mitts!)
Bell Canadahas just released the HTC Touch Pro with the following prices: $599.95 on a one month, $549.95 on a one year, $449.95 on a two year, and 3-year for only $239.95 - not bad at all!
As promised, we now have a date for the release of the super cool HTC MAX 4G: November 26th!
Why the excitement? Check this out: 800 x 480 screen, 8GB of on-board Flash, two cameras, an FM radio, GPS, WiFi, triband EDGE and… WiMAX SUPPORT! This will officially be the first GSM/WiMAX handset anywhere in the world!
So, what’s the catch? Oh sure, it’ll be available starting with November 26th, but only in Russia’s Yota network. So when do we get it? Huh, Bell? Telus? I’m looking at you, Rogers.
According to today’s Wall Street Journal, HP is getting ready to launch a brand new Communicator before the year’s end. Could this be the previously leaked HP OAK that we heard about at the beginning of this year?
From what I can tell, the HP OAK looks to be an HP touchscreen version of the HTC S710 (Vox) — with two keyboards (digital and side-sliding QWERTY). It’s rumoured to have HSDPA, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth, running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
No more details are known about release date or price, but stay tuned!
Two awesome hacks from XDA-Developers in one day! Woo hoo!
This time one that allows you to ‘enable’ (read: re-enable) Internet Sharing on your HTC Touch Diamond, Sprint Touch Pro, AT&T Fuze (Touch Pro) and the Samsung Epix!
Now, this is a registry key edit so use at your own risk as we’re never 100% sure of how these things will turn out sometimes.. but if you’re desperate for Internet Sharing (or brave and up for a challenge) try out this trick…
The good folks over at XDA-Developers have created a hack that brings full TouchFLO 3D capabilities to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1! TouchFLO 3D on the Xperia means a more finger-friendly UI, YouTube usability and a ton of other awesome enhancements.
If you’re an Xperia user, I suggest heading over to the XDA-Developers thread now and downloading this for yourself!

So, readers – are any of you Sprint Touch Pro users having any issues? I’d love to hear about them. Let’s add to the list! (Or, hey, take away from it – I’d much rather hear that it’s worthwhile. I love the Touch Pro!)
phoneArena has just let me in on some late-breaking news given to them by an anonymous tipster about the HTC Touch Pro, Saga (CDMA version of the Epix), and Renown.
Looks like the Samsung Saga I770 (CDMA version of the Epix) can be ordered via the Internet and Telesales on Nov 14th for $199 with a 2-year contract (after $70 rebate). It features Dual-band CDMA, EVDO Rev A, Quad-band GSM, WiFi 802.11g/b, Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, Office, Opera and IE Mobile, Bluetooth, 2.55″ 320×320 pixel display, 2MP camera, microSDHC support up to 16GB, and comes with a SIM card pre-installed. Included in the box are adapters for use with the wall charger in other countries. Hint hint. :)
Thank you, HTC gods, you have appeased me! Well, alright – mostly appeased me. I’ve been counting on HTC to deliver me a device to repair my crushed North American HTC Touch HD hopes and dreams and this might very well be salvation: 800 x 480 screen, 8GB of on-board Flash, two cameras, an FM radio, GPS, WiFi, triband EDGE and… WiMAX SUPPORT! This will officially be the first GSM/WiMAX handset anywhere in the world!
Reports have the HTC MAX 4G launching firs on Scartel’s Yota network in Russia where users will be able to make calls between MAX 4G devices over the WiMAX airwaves (using VoIP) automatically!
There’s crazy talk about this only being available in Russia… ever. And I’m going to dismiss that outright. Here’s hoping!

Configuring your device involves making some one-time settings that personalize the device for your use. It’s super easy! Check out this in-depth how-to on setting up, configuring, and personalizing your Windows Mobile handset and get started now!
This video from pocketnow shows off some of the cool software on the new HTC Touch HD. And, since the HTC Touch HD doesn’t have a hardware keyboard, be sure to check out the part of the video that takes a look at how usable the on-screen keyboard is — looks great!
This device seems very similar to many of the new Touch devices from HTC and actually runs the same version of TouchFLO 3D as the Samsung XPERIA X1.
Entering contact information onto a fresh device can be really daunting. I have so many contacts between my Outlook email contacts, my IM contacts (MSN, GTalk, Y!), and of course, my regular phone contacts. So many email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and home addresses to remember!
Windows Mobile devices tries to make organizing all of these contacts as simple as possible and makes it very easy to manage your contacts including your Outlook and Windows Live contacts in a personalized way to suits you best. Contacts are stored on the internal device memory or on a SIM card. The address book lets you enter many items of information for Outlook or Windows Live contacts stored on the device, including name, work phone number, e-mail address, company address, and birthday. For contacts kept on the SIM card, you can save only the contact’s name and phone number. If you move the SIM card to another device, the SIM contact is moved too, saving you from having to enter in all those names and numbers every time you switch to a new device.
It appears that the AT&T Fuze (HTC Touch Pro) will finally see the light of day on Tuesday, November 11th. This very – very - sexy phone will be a big hit, there’s no doubt about it. And at $299.99 it’ll sell like hotcakes. Mmm hotcakes with TouchFLO 3D.
Now, check out these other leaked documents containing all you could ever want in Fuze/Touch Pro accessories as well as some more info on the sweet device itself!
If you needed any more proof that Verizon Wireless was indeed getting the HTC Touch Pro, wait no more. Here’s your proof! The video’s just over a minute long but shows – without question – the HTC Touch Pro wearing Verizon’s “Big Red” getup and showing off its impressive goods for the camera.
Verizon’s version of the HTC Touch Pro boasts 512MB of ROM, TV-out, a 3.2-megapixel autofocus cam, microSD (with support up to 32GB), and an integrated business card scanner. It’s still not known when it’ll hit stores, but soon, my lovelies, soon. Fingers crossed!
According to PhoneArena, the Samsung Omnia (i910) will soon be coming to Verizon Wireless and, as seen above, there are pictures to prove it!
The i910 is the CDMA/EVDO version of the OMNIA, (which is, of course, suitable for Verizon Wireless). It is expected to have similar specifications and design. The original OMNIA features large touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and DivX/XviD playback.

Though there’s no news yet on an official launch, it looks like AT&T corporate stores are starting to get some Fuze (HTC Touch Pro) dummy units now. Look at that sexy, sexy phone!
Rumour has it that the AT&T Fuze (that’s the AT&T version of the Touch Pro) will start shipping out to stores some time in the next two weeks. BGR is saying that it’s targeted for a release near Black Friday.
The Fuze is said to be going for $349.99 with a 2-year contract and data plan.
