Is LG working on new Windows Mobile phone? According to rumours, the new device — the GW610 — will feature a 2MP camera and 3G support though not much else is known about the mysterious phone.
One thing we do know is that it will include WiFi support for high-speed data connections, as the GW610 was originally discovered by Cellpassion.mobi in an interoperability certificate.
Rumour has it that the Samsung Propel Pro (SGH-i627) will be dropping in on AT&T this week.
This Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard (no touchy?) slider phone slides open to reveal a cute little QWERTY! It looks very neat, but is intended to be a low-end device — no wifi, camera is less than 1MP, small screen (only 2.2inches, 320×320), but it does have UMTS/HSDPA 3G, aGPS and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, and a microSD slot with SDHC compatibility for use with cards up to 32GB in size.
That’s right! Pharos boasted today at CES that their newest unlocked 3G phone works on the 1700 MHz T-Mobile band and also the 850 MHz band.
James Oyang, PhD, President of Pharos, which just recently partnered with Inventec, had this to say about the new phone:
Most navigation solutions for smartphones only work when within a carrier coverage zone. We’ve equipped the Traveler 137 with our hybrid navigation system that follows you wherever you want to go and charges you only when you actually use it.
HTC has just announced their latest handset to arrive in the US – the S743, a 3G network supported version of their S740 phone.
This phone is a non-touch WinMo 6.1 device with a nice slim form factor and a really handy front facing numeric keypad and a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Awesome! I think I love it.
