The HTC Opal has finally made its way to the FCC though it appears to be lacking any kind of fanfare from consumers and phone enthusiasts alike.
Why the lack of excitement? 200 MHz TI OMAP 850 processor, 2.8-inch QVGA, 2MP camera, 128 MB RAM/256 MB ROM… how boring! Might as well save some money and get a plain old Touch. What’s new? Well, not really much — Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, the new TouchFLO 3D UI, and a d-pad. Nothing to write home about, certainly.
I, like many others, think this one will stay nice and cozy on the shelf. What do you think?
